We were in the area of the Po river estuary, 10-15 miles far from the shore.
It was the first time for me in this specific area, and was the occasion to fish together with some good old friends and some new ones.
It has been a great day on the water where everyone hooked at least one tuna.
In the afternoon, that has been the peak time of the topwater activity of the tunas, I had a beautiful strike on the surfish paulownia that resulted, after a 7 minutes fight, in a beautiful bluefintuna in the 40-45 kg range that has been released to the water.
Special thanks to Capt. Leonardo Martinelli from "Kraken" and the other guys for the beautiful day on water.
